| Bio: | I'm in my early 30s, a graduate of Salisbury State University with a degree in biology and minor in history. I have an adorable son who is will soon be 6 years old. I was a vet assistant for a few years, but currently I work for an animal health company in production. I'm a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Salisbury, where I taught Sunday School for four years. I'm also pregnant with my second child, due August 10th 2008. I'm Wiccan, have been for more than 10 years and I've officially studied with www.witchschool.com and I'm also a member of Troupe of the Starry Door, a coven in the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel ( www.sacredwheel.org )lead by Jim Welch. Here are some common topics you will find in my LJ: Parenting: I am a mother, soon to be a mother of two children, and I'm an advocate of Pagan Parenting. My personal definition of Pagan Parenting includes four main themes: Religious Literacy, Teaching Tolerance, Environmental Education, and Pagan Spirituality. Pagan Parenting inherently includes freedom of religion. I write for "Pooka's Sandbox", a Pagan Youth eMagazine, writing book review articles for kids. I also run an LJ community called ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} spiritualparent and post frequently at pagan_parents My son is currently in Kindergarden, and loves pokemon, ladybugs, cottage cheese and washing dishes. Adult ADD: I suspect I have ADD, and much of my writing is about my struggles with it and things I'm doing to work around it. I am in the process of getting diagnosed. I'm working on getting my home uncluttered, which is this year's project (2008). I'm not currently on meds, as I'm pregnent, and I can say I do miss my Adderall which I was on for a few months before I found out I was pregnant. Geeky/Science Fiction Stuff: I've always been a sci-fi fan, and a movie buff in general, so expect to find me posting about what I've been watching or reading. I also play a little "Rune Scape" because well, it's free and I can! My son has an OLPC XO laptop, and I enjoy "tinkering" with it, and I have some programing ideas as well. Environmental/Naturalist Stuff: I have a BS in biology and I love nature. I do dabble in photography as well. It amazes me what people don't know about the living things around them, so I often post about the critters I see in my daily travels with links to wikipedia for pictures and sounds, especially birds, but really I love most vertibrates, and a few invertibrates as well. I'm a big fan of Rachell Carson, and Julia Butterfly Hill. Religious/Spiritual: I'm a member of a coven and a UU congregation, so I'll be posting about my practices and studies there of... I'm especially interested in Isis and Athena, lore in general (I love mythology!), tarot, astrology, qabala, and what ever my HP says we are studying next, LOL. Lately I've been reading up on Norse Mythology, which my hubbie is into. I also LOVE chanting and music, so I'll include that here.
